St. Vincent de Paul Woburn Receives $75,000 Grant
The Society of St. Vincent de Paul Woburn has been selected as a recipient of a $75,000 grant from the Cummings Foundation as part of its major annual grant program. The funding will be distributed over three years, providing $25,000 annually to strengthen the Society’s mission of serving individuals and families experiencing hardship throughout Woburn and the surrounding communities.
The grant recognizes the organization’s growing impact and commitment to meeting increasing community needs. Over the past several years, St. Vincent de Paul Woburn has expanded its volunteer base, enhanced its food pantry services, and continued operating its year-round thrift store, which provides affordable clothing while supporting its outreach efforts.
With requests for assistance continuing to rise, the Society provides personalized, one-to-one support to people facing challenges such as food insecurity, financial hardship, unemployment, illness, and unexpected life circumstances. In addition to emergency assistance, volunteers work alongside neighbors in need to help identify long-term solutions and connect them with available resources.
The organization also partners with local businesses, community organizations, and generous donors whose contributions of clothing, household items, and essential supplies help extend its reach throughout the community.
The unrestricted grant funding will allow St. Vincent de Paul Woburn to respond to emerging needs, strengthen its programs, and continue providing compassionate assistance to local families for years to come.
